Osaka-

I came to Osaka to get lost. Big city, lots of people, lots of sights and sounds - entertainment. Only a 15-minute train ride away, Osaka became one of my favorite places just to be.

This is the Osaka History Museum. There is some sort of communications centre in it as well. I love the architecture.

There was an exhibit on the "Silk Road" trade route through China. Most of the museum is on Osaka's history, which is incredibly fascinating.

The ominous Osaka Castle.

A modern sculpture among modern office buildings.

Karin in front of a building with a nice reflection.

Karin and me in front of Hard Rock Cafe Osaka. The only place to find Mexican food in all of Japan.

Toshiki and I went to Osaka one day to pick up something or other. This is him at the train station.

Toshiki and I found our way to this little shopping centre.

Crazy.

There was an X-box demonstration going on, so we hung out and played video games for awhile. They also had girls walking around in tight leather shorts and tiny X-box t-shirts. Man, do they know what sells or what?

This is a giant ferris wheel on top of the HEP Five building. HEP Five stands for Hankyu Entertainment Plaza... Five. They sell hip clothing and what not in there. I never found anyone who wanted to go on that thing.

Busy, busy Osaka.

Seattle owns the world.

Buildings of Osaka.

Old and new.

The buildings, they are sleeping now.

This is another one of my favorite pictures. I like this skyscraper and that's the Hankyu train going by in the foreground.

The famous advertisements of Dotonburi bridge.

The banks of the Dotonburi... under construction.

This was some sort of display on the world's fair that happened here awhile ago. It was very interesting seeing how people had envisioned Osaka to be in the future.

Pretty steel and glass.

I told you, Seattle owns the world.

A nice hotel.

This is an amazing building, but a really shitty picture. In between the two main structures, there is what's called a "floating garden," where you can drink expensive coffee and enjoy nature from way up high.

Another view of this bulding.

Subways kick ass.
