Nishinomiya Pt. 2-

This is the second half of my plethora of Nishinomiya shots.

This was across the street from my third house. It appears to have been some sort of busniness.

This was also across the street.

A large apartment building next to the house. You would never see this kind of mixed density 'round here.

A lovely little park near the house. I used to come here and either read by myself under that pergola, or play with the kids.

Same park, different angle. Different time of day.

This was a little display in front of a public bath house that was down the street and around the corner. Despite old naked Japanese men, the baths were great.

A florist in a cool building that I would pass on the way to the train station.

Daiei - One of those department stores that has everything. Like Fred Meyer, only with 5 floors including parking on the upper levels.

Everything in motion.

Cool comercial building.

Batting cage. Came here a few times with the kids.

Nice apartments.

Another angle.

I like this housing setup. It's compact, but nice.

More modest housing. (well probably not that modest, considering prices in Japan)

More nice apartments.

Interesting apartments.

Man, this house is so cool.

The Japanese are really good at using all availible space. These are some houses on a hill across from the school.

More cool housing.

Nature will take her river back. Remember Spirited Away, when Chihiro had to give the big stink monster a bath, and it turned out to be a polluted river...

Blue skies over river.

Sunset on the river. I remember comming home from something, seeing this and then grabbing my camera and running back out to take a picture.

Tree.

Of all the pictures I took over there this is my favorite. The lyric from Sakura and Scotch, "Still I stare at the water, and the water shows me the skies" was inspired by this very picture.
